Chips Ahoy! Employees are now getting chips - and we don’t mean free snacks. They can, however, use their chip to pay for chips. 32M will officially be implanting NFC chips into volunteer employees on Aug 1. The chips will allow for payments in the building, opening doors, turning on computers and injecting speed during productivity lulls (that last one unconfirmed). Employees are not required to get “chipped,” but about 50 are expected to volunteer. The insertion process takes only seconds, and the chip will be located between their thumb and forefinger. Ron Swanson does not approve.
