Apple is hoping to streamline communications between patients and healthcare professionals. "After touting an EMR-sharing feature in its upcoming iOS 11.3 release, Apple said 12 hospitals have signed on to beta test the software, which will allow patients and healthcare providers to interact on iPhones and iPads." The app not only lets patients access their records, it has options to pay bills and order medication refills, and schedule/manage their appointments. Is this the future of healthcare?
