Oh, the holiday season. Has anyone else gotten an iTunes gift card from that one Uncle for the last ten years in a row? It sure seems like everyone was trading in those gift cards for apps instead of music this holiday season! "Consumers spent $300 million in app purchases on January 1, 2018, marking the highest sales day for the App Store since its launch in 2008." That is $60 million higher than last year! A total of $890 million was sold from Christmas Eve to New Year's Eve. "Insights into app spending during the holiday season are indicative of the strength of the iOS platform for the year to come, as many consumers receive smartphone devices and purchase new apps, games, and subscriptions over the holiday period."
